People with diabetes have high blood sugar because the body does not produce enough insulin or the cell does not respond to the insulin that is produced and as a result you end up with high blood sugar because the glucose in your body cannot enter the cell without insulin. There are three types of diabetes Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational diabetes.

• Type 1 diabetes produces no insulin at all.
• Type 2 diabetes produces insufficient insulin or the cell does not respond to the insulin that is produced.
• Gestational diabetes is developed during pregnancy.

Type 1 diabetes is inherited and triggered by certain infections. Type 2 diabetes is caused by genetics and lifestyle changes. Men with diabetes may experience sexual problems that include erectile dysfunction and retrograde ejaculation.
