Genital warts are caused by virus called human papillomavirus. Individual infected with the virus show no early sign of the symptoms and this increase the risk of transmitting the virus to the partner. In men the warts appear on the glans or the foreskin of the penis and in women the warts appear on the vaginal opening and around the labia.
